MuteMate Privacy Policy

MuteMate (“the App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your information. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use MuteMate, how it is used, and the choices available to you.
By using MuteMate, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
• Google account email address used to sign in to the App.
• Subscription purchase token provided by Google Play.
• Subscription plan information.
• Account creation date.
• Last login date.
• We do not collect or store your Google password. Authentication is handled securely through Google Sign-In.
2. Information Stored Locally on Your Device
• Automation rules you create.
• Location-based rules and geofences.
• Silent, Vibrate, Normal, and Do Not Disturb configurations.
• Other automation settings related to your use of the App.
• Location information used by MuteMate is processed locally on your device solely to determine when automation rules should be triggered.
• We do not receive, store, or track your location history.
3. How We Use Information
• Authenticate your account through Google Sign-In.
• Verify and manage active subscriptions.
• Restore subscription access when appropriate.
• Maintain account records.
• Provide customer support.
• Improve the reliability and security of the App.
4. Data Sharing
• We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
• Information may be shared only when necessary to operate the App, including with Google for authentication services.
• Information may be shared with Google Play for subscription processing and verification.
• These third-party services operate under their own privacy policies and terms.
5. Permissions
• Location Permission — used to trigger location-based automation rules created by the user.
• Notification Permission — used to display notifications related to automation events and app functionality.
• Do Not Disturb Access — used to automatically apply Do Not Disturb settings when required by user-created rules.
• Other permissions are used only to support features chosen by the user.
6. Data Storage and Security
• Account information is stored using secure cloud services provided through Firebase and Google Cloud infrastructure.
• We implement reasonable security measures to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration.
• No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Account Deletion
• Users may request deletion of their account and associated data by contacting us.
• Deletion requests are processed within a reasonable timeframe, subject to legal and operational requirements.
8. Children’s Privacy
• MuteMate is intended for a general audience and is not directed toward children under 13.
• We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
• If such data is discovered, it will be deleted.
9. Changes to This Policy
• We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
• Updates will be posted within the App and on our official website.
• The “Effective Date” will reflect the latest version.
• Continued use of the App after changes means acceptance of the updated Privacy.
